The only sinistral Calliostoma I know of is the C. bigelowi shown on p 38 of
Abbott & Dance's Compendium of Shells... it is so beautiful!!!  Amazingly it
looks just lie the really big regular one on the cover??? ...but then again
once you get to the 3rd printing of the book it does mention that the plate
is reversed... and is still not corrected by the 5th.

As for C. incerta Reeve, 1863, your looking on the wrong side of the bay.
Look on the left hand side.  You know like the Queens side of the road...

Allbeit I do know of several sinister underhanded Calliostoma collectors and
a couple of yeller lie'in's Paw collecters here n Texas too!

Ross, if anyone has an Albino Lions Paw it is probably COA's Dave Green.
(and those nice chalk white fossil ones don't count)

Wishing everyone a splendid new year!  A couple of questions for the house:
1) How many species of left-handed Calliostoma are there?  I know about C.
incerta Reeve, 1863 (a shallow-water Victoria state species that I just
can't seem to find!!!), but are there others?, and
2) How common are true albino (ie, completely white) Lyropecten nodosus?

I once heard of one, but they seem to be just a tad rarer than Republican
Marxist-Leninists - is this perception correct?
