Have two old shelling books for sale, practically antiquarian and superb
condition w/ d/j.
 
Verill, A. Hyatt.  Shell Collector's Handbook.  New York, Putnam, 1950.
Chapters: What is a sea shell; How sea shells are formed; Names of shells;
Where shells are found; Fantastic shells; Useful shells; Shell enemies;
Shells with strange habits; Shells that have eyes; Treasures of the sea;
How to make a collection; Identifying and shipping shells; Shells of our
eastern coast; Shells of the Antilles; Shells of the Pacific coast; Shells
of the Orient; Shells from Down Under; A shell hunt in the Caribbees.  Over
300 illustrations and 16 b/w plates.  Size 5x8", 228pp.  Condition fine,
cover slightly rubbed, d/j good, intact.  No fading, foxing (spots).
 
Webb, Walter Freeman.  Handbook for Shell Collectors.  Revised edition.
Massachussetts, Lee, 1948.  112 b/w plates and descriptions of over 2000
marine species, all foreign to US waters, indexed by both species and
common name.  Size 6x9", 264pp.  Condition MINT, cover absolutely perfect,
d/j very fine, slightly rubbed.  No fading, foxing.  Superior shape for its
age.
