Dear Avril,

I am a Forensic Analyst and have never came accross any molluscan related articles in the Forensic Science Journal. Insects are of interest because calculations about time of death can be made by observing the life cycle evidence left in the corpse.

Therefore I don't think that molluscs will play a major part

Hello Conchlers,

Does anyone have any information concerning mullusca and forensic science. I'm sure molluscs must love to chomp away at a corpse be it human or animal, but I have never come across any information to validate this.

I look forward to answers and ideas on this subject. Sorry pet lovers, I know this is a gruesome topic after just hearing about all our fascinating and humorous pet stories. Really I'm a pet lover with a dog and two cats of my own.

All the best,
