To clarify my posting regarding HSN index for new CONCH-L ers:
 
HSN is the printed version of Hawaiian Shell News that started about
1945 and ended 1996.  Actually an international monthly magazine with a
peak circulation of about 1650.  The Internet Hawaiian Shell News
replaced the printed HSN in 1997.   http://www.hits.net/~hsn
 
The index is probably of use only to people who have the issues
involved available.  There are a lot of articles giving background on a
large number of subjects.  Many of the prominent authors of shell books
contributed at one time or another, and belonged to the Hawaiian
Malacological Society, the publisher of HSN.
