Art,
It does seem to be a slow day on all of the list groups not only
Conch-L. The Swiss Army does issue swiss army knives to their troops but
not the ultrafancy gadgets that we buy. I believe they are more akin to
the oldfashion 4 blade/tool combo that we sometimes call a Boy Scout
Knife. At least that is what a friend of mine told me. There are two
companies that make true Swiss Army Knives...Victorinox and Wegner.
People develop a brand loyalty to one or the other but both are excellent
products. I am a Victorinox fan, my best friend has a single flaw, he is
a Wegner fan. These are the only two companies that can sell their knives
as Swiss Army Knives. If you look at other companies they will call their
products swiss army style knife, swiss army type knife or some other
varient of wording. Since we are often called to task for non-shell
related postings I will now add the part that will get me off the
hook...of also the different blades and gadgets on a Swiss Army Knife
there is none that has a clam shucking blade.
Good night and to those of you how live in the USA may you all have a
wonderful Memorial Day.

Charlie
