Art,

The current edition of the code was published in 1985. It was published
jointly by the International Trust of Zoological Nomenclature (based at the
British Museum of Natural History in London, now known by its replacemnent
name The Natural History Museum) and the University of California Press,
Berkeley and Los Angeles (ISBN 0 520 05546 Z). I bought my copy back in
1986 at the British Museum bookstore. I didn't have to show them any proof
of immortality ;). I would use the Internet to check whether the book is
still in print. Copies of the draft of the new (fourth) edition of the code
were sent to zoologists for comments and suggestions in 1995 (in many
aspects it is more streamlined and less strict than the current version),
but apparently the comission has postponed publication of this new version
for sometime early in the new millenia.

Best,
