Conus milneedwardsi clytospira is a valid subspecies of C. milneedwardsi
milneedwardsi.
It has two pronounced pink bands around the last whorl; the two species are
geographically separated: milneedwardsi is from eastern Africa, while
clytospira is from western India.

Hello, CONCH-L!
I am trying to find out is "clytospira" is a subspecies of milneedwardsi or
just a junior synonym of it.
Thanks,
Linda
P.S. I bought a cone labelled clytospira several years ago and have it
labelled as milneedwardsi. If it is a subspecies, what characteristics
separate it from milneedwardsi?
