Dear friends,

in the last months I was busy to transfer my cards with scaphopod references
(2800 entries) and scaphopod species into searchable databases.
Allthough they are far from perfect and have still some big gaps I decided
to publish them in the internet at the actual version 0.867 and 0.944. You
can download them at my new scaphopod site at: www.berndsahlmann.de.
For those who are not able to open the databases (zipped MS Access
2000-format) a preview of some pages as a pdf-file can be downloaded at
http://www.berndsahlmann.de/html/scaph-download.html. In the next weeks more
pictures and drawings of scaphs and more text will be added.
As soon as the new scaphopod species list of Steiner and Kabat will be
published (announced for december 2004) their information will be included
into the databases.
All of you who are interested in scaphopods are kindly invited to contribute
to my projects by e.g. filling the gaps and correcting the errors. You can
contact me via e-mail at: [log in to unmask]

Best regards
Bernd Sahlmann
