Please give me credit for knowing just a little about computers (although I
am not an expert as you are). I never said that these "verification"
messages originated with Conch-L. They were caused by messages sent through
Conch-L. I also doubt that it was the server who posted the "verification
request" but a program on the computer of the "request- sender." Conch-L
could stop this by having him/her/it accept all Conch-L posting without
question.
