Aloha Tim,
Cypraea sphaeridium have indeed been sold through the Philippines for years
now. It doesn't mean the species was collected there though. No-one really
knows for sure the exact locations for sphaeridium offered in the
Philippines. A local French Malacologist was informed by Muslim traders that
the species originated from Mangalon Island off Borneo by local divers. I've
been informed of other locations but also within Borneo.          Mahalo!
