This is a recipe invented by my mum, who hates seafood, but loves this:

It is intended for Mytilus edulis, but could be made with any smallish
bivalve.

You need: 2 kg of Mytilus in shell, a few rashers of bacon, 1 big onion,
garlick.
For the sauce: cup of yoghurt, 2 tablespoons of mayonaise, a couple of
capers, a small raw onion, italian herbs.

Boil Mytilus until shells open. Take out meat. Fry bacon in shallow frying
pan until very crisp. Add onion and garlick, and fry for another few
minutes. Then add Mytilus and fry until animals are golden brown.

Make sauce by combining all ingredients. Invite three to four friends.

Eat Mytilus mixture with sauce with toasted bread and garlick butter and a
green salad. YUM!
