Hello all. I have a few questions regarding this bright pink southern
Californian ovulid. I recently acquired a number of specimens
that had been collected over thirty years ago and noticed that there
seem to be two distinct forms- one larger and more open, the other
smaller with a thickened lip on its tighter aperture (I'm not doing
these shells justice- hope I'm making sense). Are these two different
species?

These were found on a purple hydrocoral at Farnsworth Banks off of
Catalina Island. Could someone give me the name of the coral host?

Thanks in advance for any information.
