Hello everyone, and thanks for the info about Sanibel. Getting on this list
has been the best thing I've done all year! Maybe someone out there can
help me on this one:
Back when I lived on the West Coast (before I got back into the shell hobby
-- err, obsession) I used to see scallops sold in the shell at seafood
markets fairly often, particularly along the coast of Oregon and
Washington. I've been told that these are probably Chlamys hastata, since
these are commercially fished. Now that I live in Florida and don't have
the funds for a quick dash to Washington, can anyone put me in touch with
someone (or perhaps a seafood company) that can get me some of these
particular scallops?
