Dear James,
When something sounds too good, it usually is! I have been asking a
few overseas dealers I know about what is going on with the Cyp. fultonii...I
am getting some interesting feedback. People who know the dealer who is
taking 1,000+ specimens to the Paris show isn't known for giving anything away
for nothing! People who have seen some off this stuff says you are going to
get what you pay for...a $10 Cyp. fultonii will look more like a dirty old
rock than a cowrie, etc! a $100 specimen is going to be a "square filler" at
best...something that is almost recognizable as a "fultoni" and will fill a
"square" in a Cyprae collection for those who can't afford anything
better...but don't even expect a "Fine" specimen....or so I have been told by
several dealers who have seen some of this material! This guy is "dumping"
all the "junk" you sometimes have to buy to get a decent specimen.
