I'm working on a revision of the Gastropoda, Bivalvia and Polyplacophora
given to the Azores. A major revision is going on, with almost 1.000 lots
worked out, corresponding to more than 700 dives performes down to 50m
depth, around all the nine islands of this archipelago, located in the
central northern Atlantic. Of this work, together with data taken from
bibliography, a list of about 250 confirmed species has emerged. To those
interested, I can send reprints of a paper that is going to be published
very soon in Açoreana, or I can instead confirm the existence of your
species here in the Azores. I hope to be helpfull to all the persons
interested in the topic of geographical distribution of marine species and
to discuss with them the problems related (speciation, colonization of
distant islands, sea currents in the north Atlantic, amphi-Atlantic
species, etc).
A good work to everybody,
