Dupont was (and may still be) a passionate collector. He is (was?) the
owner of perhaps the most famous and valuable stamp. The 1856 British
Guiana one cent magenta. His was a unique example, until the recent
announcement of the discovery of a second example. He paid, I believe
$935,000. All in all, Dupont is a most interesting man.
