Dear James,

Notolimea crassa (Forbes, 1844) is a small species
up to 5 mm (Fam. Limidae) and occurs from the Lofoten Islands,
Norway and Iceland in the North, ober the British Isles south
to West-Africa and the Mediterranea down to over 1500 meters
on muddy and detritus bottom. It's a quite rare shell and in collections you find more halves than complete ones. The Northern
or Atlantic one often is called Notolimea crassa sarsi (Loven, 1846).
They are much more thicker than other Lima species and reticulated.
with best shelling greetings
yours Helmut from Innsbruck
