Lynn. I checked my Simnialena and found very little fading of the yellow
and purple forms after 9 years (St. Augustine, Salt Run, 1989). My Cyphoma
mcgintyi from 7 years ago (Boca Chica Key, 1991), however, are about
halfway to white. Bob Lipe and I have noticed that, with some
marginelliforms, Prunum carneum for example, specimens from one population
will hold color better than those from another population.
