Ross,

I for one have been to Iceland a number of times in the past while flying
for Uncle Sam.  There are places that look like the moon and other places
with  wild streams full of huge fish.  The people are everything you
describe and there are some wild local celebrations.  Remember, it was
called Iceland so invaders would look to Greenland as the place to go!
