State Representative Dar’shum Kendrick knows that the students in the
FFA today are going to become the business and political leaders of
tomorrow.
Her time spent leading and working with the students gives high
expectation for a more prosperous Georgia in the future.
FFA students from Northwest Georgia competed in the Junior Public
Speaking Career Development Event (CDE) last night.
Servio Martinez of Murray County High School and Bodie Brooks from
Summerville Middle were announced as winners and have earned the
opportunity to advance on to state contest held annually in Macon,
Georgia.
Joshua Aaron of Gilmer County, Mikaela Harris from North Forsyth,
Mason Bennett of Dawson Co and Jessica Wise of Chattooga High were top
finalist.
Judges for the event included State Representative Dar'shun Kendrick,
Metro business woman, Joan Lass, Eileen Kimble professional
speaking/voice coach and Sue Smith retired teacher of agriculture
education.
