FFA students from Northwest Georgia competed in the Senior Public
Speaking Career Development Event (CDE) last night. Katie Sutherland
of Sonoraville High School and Chelsea Campbell from Pepperell High
were announced as winners and have earned the opportunity to advance
on to state contest.
Kayla Collis from Pickens High, Andrew White of Arabia Mountain,
Christina Garner from Woodland and Bailey Sims of Southeast Whitfield
were top finalist.  Judges for the event included Georgia Organics
Farmer Services Director Jonathon Tescher, Former FFA member and
Agri-business woman, Jone Taylor, Paulette Evans from Emory University
and Amanda Manning with Georgia’s Farm to School program.
