Teachers, this is an excellent opportunity for your students to gain
some experience before competing in the Area FFA Forestry Field Days.
It is being conducted by the Oconee FFA Alumni and sponsored by Plum

Oconee Forestry Field Day

Oconee Veterans Park, Hwy. 53, Watkinsville Georgia

Plum Creek Timber and Oconee FFA Alumni will host the forth annual
Oconee Forestry Field Day on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Oconee
Veterans Park in Oconee County.  Registration will begin at 3:30pm &
the contest will begin at 4:00pm.  All FFA chapters in the North
Region are invited to attend.  Entries are limited to one 11 member
team per chapter.

All of the FFA Forestry CDE events will be held and awards will be
given for the top three individuals in each event and the 1st and 2nd
place team.  Plum Creek is sponsoring the awards, hats for all team
members & advisors, and providing hamburgers, chips and drinks for all
those attending.

Please note: you may bring other students to practice in addition to
your team, but these students are not eligible for awards and are not
guaranteed a hat. They will be provided a meal so include them in your
total head count.

Please RSVP by March 26, 2009, with the number of students, and
advisors that will be attending.
