As far as I know, the man Thatcher was a pubowner in England (at least that
is were Thatcheria mirabilis is named after) who received seashells from
sailors.
For a long time he (i.e. Mr. Thatcher) owned the only known specimen of
Thatcheria mirabilis. He only allowed it to be describved if it was named
after him.
I don't know whether this story is true, but it might be..........
