Dear Conchlers, dear Don Barcley,
when I am make some nice jokes about me as "Helix", "Hell-Grit", "Hel-Murex" or the newest name "Helmiter", there
must not come back a silly and stupid answer in connection with Helmut, like "Helmiser", as miser is a very ugly
word and I am not a miser. You can create nice word or pet names for me, but not in this sense. I am working
with great enthusiasm at the shell collection at the museum in Innsbruck and I am willing to supply eventual auctions with
material (I always can offer landshells from the Tyrol and Northern Italy and a few localities more - also for the
meeting in july - Bill Frank should me contact personally - for the Jackonsville Club), but I do not want to be called
miser. This is offending me and my work as I will stay in nice and funny contact with the friends of Conch-L. But
not in this way. So I better will get serious and will not make jokes any more.
with best regards
Helmut
