Dear Carlos,
Areas just inside the bay in Salvador used to be very snorkeable. Tell him
to try Porto da Barra, Farol, and the rocky coast area just west of these.
I used to do it way back in the 1970s, and the site was great for olives,
cowries, Pleuroploca aurantiaca, Strombus (several species), marginellas,
helmets, etc. The water might be polluted nowadays, though.
Abracos,
José
