>Call the convention hotel to find out in advance what you will need to do
>to have their concierge staff mail your boxes. See which shipping methods
>they can provide (United States Postal Service; United Parcel Service-UPS;
>or companies like FedEx and Airborne). Check the Web sites of these
>various shippers and know their regulations for shipping into Canada from
>the U.S.
DON'T Use UPS... thewy are not knownm as "Universal Parcel Smashers"
for nothing, and will also cost you an arm & a leg, as you will be
socked with agents' fees and probably customs duty (going here by
what I've heard from dealers & Candian Vanagon.com listees). Use USPS.
And if the customs agents can't identify a shell, it their job to be
able to do so accurately (he!) and it is THEIR problem. Don't let
them try to make it yours. But you shouldn't have any problems.
Another CITES species, you'll find, is Charonis tritonis.
