Bobbi,
Unfortunately, my ISP (Brazosport.edu) cannot send email to Earthlink
for some reason. It is not you individually, I struggle trying to send
email to other earthlink subscribers. Let me know if the pictures
arrived or if there is another avenue for delivering the pictures that
is not through Earthlink.
Thanks,
Steven

Subject: Calliostoma in Arkansas?
I was recently asked if "Top Shells" were normally found in Arkansas.
I, of course, smiled and replied that they are normally found a little
closer to a marine environment. Well as it turns out this individual's
mother had been digging in the backyard in Northern Arkansas and found a
"shell" under a large rock about 2-3 feet deep. They sent pictures of
the shell which measures about 70 mm high and 64 mm wide at the base.
Anyone care to take a stab at identifying this mystery shell? I will be
glad to send the pictures.
Thanks,
Steven Coker
