This one looks like a freshwater species, Ancylus fluviatilis (currently a
speciex complex whose nomenclature remains a mess). Either it is
incorrectly labelled, or it came from a freshwater sip at the coast.

Best wishes,

Dr. Cristian R. Altaba

Dear List, dear Mediterranean inhabitants,

What do you think of this little shell ?
http://www.idscaro.net/sci/03_myst/000.jpg
4m deep on rocks, northern Sardinia, W. Med. 5mm.

Close to a Tectura virginea, as this one from Turkey (if it is a virginea)
:

But the real good T. virginea, at least in northern Europe, looks better
than these poor southern guys :

This last shell was pictured near Trondheim, Norway, and can be found, with
many other super pics, at this link :

OK, back to the original question : what is this little limpet from
Sardinia ? http://www.idscaro.net/sci/03_myst/000.jpg
The label says it's a Trimusculus mammilaris, but one may not always follow
what a label says.
Any idea ?

That's not supposed to be a Williamia, nore a Veleropilina, that's just...
a little hat.
