I looks like he is concluding that 'Cypraea' dani is a species, but there
are also inflated specimens of 'C.' dayritiana being offered by dealers that
confuse the issue.
The original description (La Conchiglia, Vol. 34, no. 303, April-June 2002,
pp. 15-17) includes a comparison of the two taxa, so you might want to read
this article for insight.
