I'm sorry that I never had the chance to meet Betty...but I did meet the Piech family many years ago at our NC Shell Show...the children did a wonderful exhibit on shells they collected in Key West...they had definitely inherited Betty's love of shells and nature. The world of conchology has lost another giant.
