Dear Charles & Co,  No -one so far seems to have proposed that your unusual
Florida taxa, could have originated as part of the ballast from ship's
holds.  I am almost certain that I have seen referances to shells being
tranferred to unusual habitats in this way,  I would be interested in your
reaction to this suggestion.
