conus perplexus is molluscivorous or vormivorous not piscivorous, the
piscivorous are the deadly critters such as geographus , textile and
bullatus (bullatus has never been documented to have caused a deadly sting
but is piscivous, good rule of thumb here is that the deadly conus are
usually fat and rounded and have a light weight shell for their size, by the
way this group is considered genus gastrilium. hope this helps , Mark James

Hello Conch-lrs:
Is Conus perplexus (Sowerby, 1857) as dangerous as
other species?
Thanks
