Earlier this week (Tue, i think), the residents of Gander,
Newfoundland, were busy shovelling a foot of snow from their
driveways, courtesy of the storm formerly known as Irene - granted,
this is a LOT better than a foot of rain, but...// All we got out of
Irene here in old Halifax was a couple of inches of liquid
refreshment, and a small bit of wind - but a cold front moved in
Monday nite which wiped out the last of my tomatoes : when i realized
how cold it was getting, i rushed out to cover them up but just
couldn't ketchup to the chill.
