Lord Howe Island does "belong" to Australia, it does have its own unique
molluscan fauna which however is fully protected, it is a beautiful place
for a holiday but forget collecting there. I think there is a publication
on the fauna of the island, Patty Jansen would know more about that. The
adjoining Norfolk Island is in my opinion even more beautiful with a very
interesting history, you can also gather a few species there without too
much hassle.
