To all,
I have just received, in the mail, two specimens of a cone named
Conus marmoreus pseudomarmoreus (Crosse, N.D.) from New Caledonia, Druk
Code Reef. I am wondering if this is a valid taxa or is it just a form of
the normal marmoreus. The shells are smaller than a regular Conus
marmoreus and have a slightly stippled surface. Everything else seems to
be the same. Is it a regional variation?
        Thanks for the help.
