Dear Conch-Lers,

does somebody know which species is called 'Sode-gai' in japanese. It is a
japanese bivalve which produces or at least is able to produce pearls. Pearl
oysters have different names in japanese, so it might be one of the
unionids. The name 'Sode-gai' has been used by Von Siebold in one of his
diaries.

Looking forward to any suggestion

Jeroen Goud
