                                  Mediterranean. Also Caribbean. Intertidal on
                                  rocky shores.
synonymy:
Siphonaria algesirae (Quoy and Gaimard, 1834)
Siphonaria grisea (Gmelin, 1791)
Notes: The differences or identity with the South African
             Siphonaria capensis Quoy and Gaimard, 1833 are
             not well established.
 
 
in the Compendium of Seashells by Tucker-Abbott no synomy is named
for Siphonaria pectinata (Linnaeus, 1758)
distribution: Florida to Texas, Caribbean
but noted as land-snails (Pulmonata)
