Dear friends interested in the "Stombus pugulis" complex
I have studied a sample of the Stromboidea species for phylogenetic
proposes (my Ph. D. thesis), 3 of them are Strombus pugilis, S. alatus and
S. gracilior. Although no spectacular differences were found among these
species, I find in my morphological study, small, but good differences in
the pallial oviduct and penis details I think enough for specific
separation. The paper was accepted for publication in "Arquivos de Zoologia"
and I hope will be available soon.
    Best wishes
    Luiz
