Strombus raninus roller looks just like a thin-lipped Conus regius and has
fooled many newbies (including me, way back!)

All the S. pugilis I've seen are orange with bright orange aperture -
alatus never so bright and usually with purple at siphonal canal. Once you
get the difference in your "eye" you seldom miss the difference.
