An inexpensive alternative to hotels on Sanibel: Bring a tent! Periwinkle
Park Campground is within walking distance of the beach and even has an
aviary and zoo!

The beaches may be public but the parking ain't free. They are stinkers about
tickets on Sanibel.

Can you really get busted for taking a shell with a crab in it? That's nutty!
