I recently had the opportunity to examine a large number of
Xenophora conchyliophora and it would appear that one specimen
had attached a live bivalve to its shell.  This was a veteran X. specimen
- nearly 95 mm. in length.

I was curious if anyone else had seen evidence that these carriers
had selected a living specimen for attachment.  Not to be outdone,
the same specimen also had some other unusual attachments.
