Let's try again: must be SOME stories of this sort out there!!!:
Linda & Paul have openened up a potentially very interesting discussion:
when deep pipelines, cables, and other long-submerged objects are
brought back to our airy realm, many wonderful treasures are often
attatched. Do some of the good citizens of the list have stories about
such events - treasures from the deeps brought to light by accident when
appropriate man-made substrates are returned to the surface after years
of "collecting" molluscs?? If so, let's hear them!!!

>From the finally-wet North (fire ban in New Scotland woodlands was
lifted yesterday!),
Ross.
