It's probably Chicoreus (Phyllonotus) margaritensis (Abbott, 1958) (new
name for imperialis Swainson). It has 4-6 varices vs pomum wich has 3


I got some shells from Margarita Island, Venezuela.   Does
>"Murex"  (not sure of the current genus) pomum occur this far
