Hi, All!

A suggestion for Ellen and other people wishing to name pets with conchologically related names - why don't you go through the names of authors of species. Some of them have
very euphonius names, e.g., you could call a dog Rafinesque,
"Raffy" for short. The long form sounds like a breeder's
handle, the short form is suitable for actually calling the dog
or cat. I think you could find other author names that would be adaptable.

Also species names, e.g. Janthina would be rather nice for a female dog or cat.

Just a thought,
Linda
