Dear Flavio,
It is known that several species sold on Phuket by local dealers, labeled as
if originating from Phuket, do actually not come from Phuket, and not even
from the Indian Ocean. Fishermen from the eastern coast of Thailand sell
their catches (i.e. shells) very often to dealers on Phuket, who
(deliberately?) falsify the locality data.
Every shell bought at Phuket should be regarded with distrust, unless the
source is 100% reliable.
