Hi Dan and Hiromi,

How was your trip to Japan and did you get any GREAT shells? That was so
kind of you to take time in a vacation to contact me. It meant a lot to me
especially since I have been so sick for so long. Over 5 weeks in the
hospital in total didn't do much for my disposition.

I would love to have you forward the picture. It would go great on the
"Uses of..." article under Personal Adornment.

By any chance did you discover the Teacher's Lesson Plan and all the pages
on the checklist? (
http://www.manandmollusc.net/lesson_plan_one_files/lesson_plan_checklist.htm
l ) I would appreciate hearing what you think of it. I enjoyed doing it and
I know quite a few have been on the page but I as yet have not heard any
comments on whether its' good bad or indifferent.

This is my first attempt at doing a structured lesson plan but with the help
of a friend we stumbled through it. She by training is a teacher but has
not done very much and she prefers doing her pottery. She and her hubby
(Shawn) are hoping to start a family and she plans to home school which also
means that they are moving out of little Invermere and going to Vancouver
Island June 1st. Shawn is my assistant web master for Man and Mollusc and
will keep it up for me. Robynn is my story writer and she also is going to
continue with the Children's book series we have on the drawing board.

Have you seen our first story;. "Sammy's Adventure". It is online but will
not be illustrated. This is sort of an introduction to our first book and
even though copyrighted, we have all consented to using this first story
online. We have about 6 books planned for the series and hopefully some day
they will make enough to help support my site. I get 50% of the profits and
Robynn and Anna share the other 50%. I carry all expenses. Next Monday I
meet with our publisher, Friessens Publishers and hopefully by July out
first book will be in print.

If it looks like it might fly, we hope to get several translations printed
as well. We're doing the computer printing so the first book will be more
expensive; however translations are a lot less expensive. Any interest in
doing a Japanese translation some day?

Well I must take my wee dog out for her walk. She says hi to Kuma.

All the best,
Avril
