Carol,
 
I was on a field trip Saturday with the Boy Scouts and taught them this
"cheer", which I thought might help you:  "Leaves of three, let it be".
 
The boys, being oh so clever, came up with:  "Leaves of five, it's Virginia
Creeper".(not a great rhyme, but it got the message across)
