Just read an article stating that the Panama Cannel is a fresh water barrier
between the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans. The cannel stops any mollusk from
transplanting to either side through the cannel. Apparently any mollusk &/or
larvae that is attached to ships die. Seemly puzzling when salt water enters
from both sides. Can anyone expand on this?????
