You can also go to Peanut Island, in the West Palm Beach area. Partway
across the bridge to Riviera Beach, go left into Phil Foster Park.
There's a ferry boat that runs each 1/2 hour or so to Peanut Island,
costs about $8 round trip.

Though Peanut Island has been "improved" with picnic tables, dock, and
trails, you can still find some small shells there. Go south past the
picnic tables to a place where there are some trees fallen beside the
bank. There are small turnable rocks there, uncovered at low tide.
We've found trivias, small cowries, Tritonoharpa, Thais, Cymatium, etc
there in recent years (we go in April).

There are good low tides in afternoons the week of Feb 8. See
http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/tideshow.cgi for tide times. Sunday is a
madhouse.

Have fun
Peggy
