Hey Wes;-
About GOOD and POOR shells: I used to collect coins, pennies
frinstance. Getting a MINT quality was usually out of the question.
We kept our pennies in blue folders with holes in them for each date
and mint. If we could only fill the hole with a lousy coin, it was
considered (at least) a hole filler.
We do the same thing with shells. If we can't come by a GEM Conus
balonus, we can fill its place with a "hole filler" until a better
one comes along.
The only coins I still have in folders are English three pence
silver pieces. Several are missing.
